In this new version, we’ve brought the iPhone and iPad apps one big step closer to each other by adding effects layering to the iPhone. Now you can easily combine any number of Camera+’s effects to create some cool, new looks. Mix, match, and blend until you get the perfect combination. You’re limited only by your creativity.
Although I haven’t used Camera+ in so long, I’ve never had the heart to remove it from my iPhone. Now that effect layering is available, it might start to get used again.
Former employees at Apple stores in New York and Los Angeles have filed a class action suit, claiming the iPhone maker required them to stand in line for up to 30 minutes every shift and wait for a manager to search their bags.
I’m guessing these “former” employees didn’t leave on the best terms for them to take out a lawsuit about having to wait a couple of minutes for a bag check? Maybe they should sue the public transport network whenever their bus or train is a few minutes late.
I’d quite like to see Apple counter-sue on the basis that every toilet break the employees took constituted a loss of earnings.
Three Dog fans, rejoice. You can stream GNR from Fallout 3 in your preferred internet radio app.
Over the course of this series, we’ve set up a complete online presence using products such as Squarespace and Google Apps to provide rock-solid web and email services with almost no configuration and zero maintenance required.
In this part of our series, we’ll show you how to gather analytical information about your Squarespace site’s visitors, as well as comparing it to Google Analytics.
My latest article on FreelanceSwitch compares the features of Squarespace Activity against the behemoth that is Google Analytics.
“Bob is no longer going to be on Apple’s executive team, but will remain at Apple working on special projects reporting to [CEO] Tim [Cook],” company spokesman Steve Dowling told AllThingsD. He declined any further explanation, refusing to comment on the reasons behind Mansfield’s surprising move, whether he remains Apple’s SVP of Technologies or whether the company plans to appoint a new executive to that role.
Mansfield already retired once and then came back again . My guess he’s just wanting to continue with the retirement he originally planned for and it’s not uncommon for those with a foot out of the door to be given “advisory” roles.
Whether you’re wanting to become the next Bob Dylan or start your own podcast, the Mac has some of the best software around to help you make this a reality. But no matter how good your musical or conversational aspirations are, they’ll be for nought if we can’t effectively capture our music or record our conversations. In this tutorial, I’ll look at the different ways you can capture and record audio to include in your future projects.
My latest over at Mactuts+ shows you how to capture and record audio from both external sources as well as from specific apps.
A rather appropriate (and awesome) CAPTCHA system for a Chess website.
An awesome set of photos on Flickr of the prototype MacBook 13″. Interestingly, the prototype was based upon a Core Solo CPU and not the Core Duo the model shipped with.
In the first part of our series, Setting Up Your Business Online Without Coding, I showed you how easy it is to set up a brand new website using Squarespace that you can fully set up in as little as 30 minutes.
Now that we’ve got a great-looking website set up, it’s time to go one step further and really get the most from it by adding a fully working blog, complete with comments and social integration.
Continuing my series over at FreelanceSwitch is a guide on getting the most from your Squarespace blog.
AirPlay is by far one of the most popular features of the Apple TV. On iOS devices, it allows the easy streaming of audio and video to an Apple TV so that you can enjoy watching a movie on your television with friends and family. On the Mac, however, it’s not as simple. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to AirPlay almost any audio and video content from your Mac to your Apple TV.
AirPlay from your Mac to your TV is unfortunately not as easy or straightforward as it is on iOS. In my latest tutorial for Mactuts+, I explore 5 ways in which you can AirPlay video content from your Mac.
